Just the scarf

Last night, as I sat down for my pitifully small daily alloted knitting time, Phil asked me what I was knitting for Rhinebeck.

I'm starting a new job next week, the schedule is crazy, and it's taken me a week to manage to knit a freakin' size 3-month stockinette baby cardigan, and dude's asking me - 17 days before the event - what I'm knitting for Rhinebeck.

I just stared up at him in astonishment, my eyes conveying a subtle "Are you sh**tting me???" message.

"Just the scarf then, eh?", he stammered.

Yup.

Happy Knitting, Everyone!

but wotta scarf, right! I mean What A Scarf! :) (er, I may have a child sized hat done...think I could wear that? maybe just adorn myself with newly completed socks, if I'm lucky?)

My husband seems to think I magically knit things instantly while working and taking care of his house and children.

Heh, you gotta admire his optimism. :) But, 17 days is LOADS of time for you to knit something! You just have to look at yarn and FOs appear.

I can't believe it's OCTOBER let alone 17 days to the fiber festival. I didn't make a Rheinbeck sweater either. I'll be wearing a cowl! ;-)

I am so happy that you and Kate are getting to Rhinebeck this year!!! SO JEALOUS too. You rock your scarf and who says that you can't wear knits that weren't done just for their Rhinebeck debut? You have some fabulous sweaters and wraps and you will need them to stay cozy at The Place That Is Heave On Earth For Yarnfreaks (TPTIHOEFY....make a cool sci fi word outta that will you, hon? Maybe its Klingon for sexy fiber?)

It is kinda awesome, though, that he'd be thoroughly ensconced in the borg to know that Rhinebeck is the kinda place one would make new knitting for. Yarn assimilation FTW!
