I'm back! I'm so very sorry for that lapse in regular blogging. I was sort of busy...
I had 3 concerts in 2 days, and was pretty much beat when I got home. Plus there was the whole "wife and mother" gig that I'd been letting slide...
But lo! I bring you a finished object!
High Peaks hat (the mittens will have to wait for now), knit with Dream in color Classy in the Dusky Aurora colourway.
I didn't make gauge with the needles I had, so I made the large size and crossed my fingers. This isn't meant for a man, so I think it'll be OK. I love this colour...
Today is the first of 2 glorious days at home while hubby is at the office and the kids are in daycare. I'm so giddy I could just spit! I've been productive so far. After finishing the hat this morning, I finished up the laundry, did a few Christmas errands, and did the ironing. That's when Kate-the-Enabler told me to snap out of it and get my knit on already, I was making irresponsible knitters everywhere feel bad.
I won't argue with her :)Happy Knitting Everyone! I've got a pair of yellow socks to finish.

It never pays to argue with yer enabler. ;)
The hat's gorgeous - I suspect that colourway is another one where our slightly divergent fave colours come together. It's beautiful.
And the concerts? Really - applause, applause, applause. I'm just sorry I only made it to one. Chorale Mondiale this year? Now, who's going with me? (You guys are going to be performing again, right?)
Happy knitting.
That's a lot of concerts in 2 days. I can't sing - I break mirrors and windows and shower curtains.
Great hat! Love it. The color is awesome too!
Wish I could have seen and heard you in person! Loved the photo of you singing, complete with the raised eyebrows -- helps me stay on pitch when I do that :)
You truly looking disgustingly cute in beanies ... I'm so jealous! I only knit hats for other recipients ... I wouldn't even put one on to model for the blog -- you'd be laughing hysterically!
High Peaks is fabulous!
Congrats on the concerts, I bet you were great. Tomorrow is my big night with Dad's choir at midnight mass - looking forward to it.
I love that shade of Classy, it's really yummy. Cute hat too, it shows off the colours of the yarn beautifully.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
1. You look adorable singing.
2. That hat looks great! Gorgeous color, and the pattern works really well with variegated yarn.
3. Never argue with an enabler.
4. It should be illegal to look so cute in hats. I look like a watermelon with a bad toupee when I wear one. (Well, a watermelon with a bad toupee wearing a hat)
5. Speaking from one who is only doing the minimum of work each day so I can get my knit on and finish the unfinished holiday knitting...get your knit on, baby!
